An Evening at Dave's Sauna takes place over the course of one Saturday night (April 1980)
at the legendary Dave’s Sauna in South Paris, Maine,

Watch and listen as the legendary/infamous "Sauna" Dave shares his own philosophies on life, chats up the ladies and takes care of “commerce”.  Meet Weird Rob, Bearded Hippie, Off-Duty Waitress, 9-5 Guy, Neighbor Not Happy, Local Town Cop, Trailer Park Woman, MassHole, his best friend Saul, his wife Nancy, her best friend Josephine, the seductive Sauna Sirens and many other colorful characters.

Come enjoy and remember how it was to "live life right".

​(Holiday HiJinXXX)

​Another Evening at Dave's Sauna - Holiday HiJinXXX takes place on Christmas Eve at the legendary Dave’s Sauna in South Paris, Maine where Dave is at it again.

After losing track of some money Dave decides to hold a Holiday Burlesque show so he can afford presents for his kids.

Dave is once again joined by Weird Rob, Neighbor Not Happy, Local Town Cop, MassHole, Frank, Gary, Saul, Nancy, and the seductive Sauna Sirens, along with newcomer Johnny the Stripper.

With new songs, and a whole other level of inappropriate!

JONATHAN LEAVITT

Writer and Director ​

This is an original production by writer/director Jonathan Leavitt. Previous work by him includes “Jesus Christ Terrorist” (a dramatic comedic spoof of the original Jesus Christ Superstar, set post 9-11), “Mother Culture” (based on the writing of Daniel Quinn), and “Somewhere, Maine: The Marijuana Musical” (about one year on a cannabis farm in the hills of western Maine).
 
He has also written or co-written 9 studio albums with his bands including: Growing Up the American Way, Resistance Is All We Got, Live from J. Edgar Hoover’s Closet, Politics for Pre-Schoolers, Live at the Finish Line, God, Guns, and Ganja, The Trial of Johnny Crashed, and Scenes from Somewhere Maine.

​He has also created a whole alternate universe based on the life of "Johnny Crashed" which can be found at www.johnnycrashed.com.

He is also a member of Ragtime Rebellion as "Ragtime Johnny".

Jonathan is also the founder and producer for the Maine Fungi Fest www.mainefungifest.org and lives at Open Sky Farm in the western Maine foothills.

NETTIE GENTEMPO

Choreographer

Nettie is the artistic director for the Nevaeh Dance Circus www.nevaehdancecircus.org and Cold, Cold Night Burlesque.

Her original choreography has been featured in the Poland Players productions of “Jesus Christ Super Star”, “Little Shop of Horrors” as well as the Cow Pasture Production of “Somewhere Maine, The Marijuana Musical” and an original production "The Dark Side Of Somewhere". 

Nettie has been studying dance her entire life and performs professionally as a hula hoop artist. 

She is also the author of "Hoop Girl and Loopy" a children's book. 

DAWSON HILL

Musical Director

In the process of becoming a professional musician and getting his BFA in theater at Emerson college, Dawson Hill was, and has since been, involved in several shows. In the Oxford Hills community he played as “Frankie” in the very successful run of “Forever Plaid”, as well as other shows like “Tick, Tick, Boom!” and “Swing!” He has also worked as the musical director in the O.M.P.A.A originals “Roles of a Lifetime “, “Cinderella”, and the musical “Aladdin”. 

During his time performing in Boston, he starred as “Max” in “Where the Wild Things Are” and “the Gift of the Magi”, and also created a score for an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”. 

He continues to play piano and entertain in many projects around both Maine and through out New England and is excited to be able to create original music and be a musical director for Jonathan Leavitt’s original musical ”An Evening at Dave’s Sauna” and "Another Evening at Dave's Sauna - Holiday HiJinXXX"
