DAVE

The character of DAVE, who owns Dave’s Sauna”, is the lead character for both shows. Age range of 30-35 is ideal. He is a lady loving, “entrepreneur “who uses the sauna, (located in western Maine), as both a front for his many illegal activities and as the center of his social scene. He is married to Nancy, who is also a principal character and is often joined/surrounded at the sauna by a host of disreputable and quirky characters/friends. This role requires singing and dancing (or at least a fluidity in movement). This includes solos/duets/group numbers.

NANCY

The role of NANCY, who is Dave’s long-suffering wife, is also a lead character for both shows. Age range of 25-30 is ideal. She tries to hold the family together while her husband is involved with all sorts of escapades. This role requires singing and dancing (or at least a fluidity in movement). This includes solos/duets/group numbers.

Neighbor Not Happy

The role of NEIGHBOR NOT HAPPY, who lives next to the sauna, is a minor character for both shows. Age range of 50-65 is ideal. This role includes dialogue and requires singing and dancing (or at least a fluidity in movement). This includes a solo/duets/group numbers.

OFF DUTY WAITRESS / JOSEPHINE

The role of OFF DUTY WAITRESS/JOSEPHINE, who frequents the sauna, is a minor character for both shows. Age range of 23-28 is ideal. This role includes dialogue and requires singing and dancing (or at least a fluidity in movement). This includes solos/duets/group numbers.

LOCAL TOWN COP

The role of LOCAL TOWN COP who frequents the sauna, is a minor character, who lets Dave get away with things when they benefit him. Age 50+ - round belly, out of shape. (Only needed for the shows in May)

FRANK

The role of FRANK who is a closeted gay man, is a minor character, with a professional look who frequents the sauna with his lovers. 35-65. This role includes dialogue and requires singing, including a duet with Gary, his lover and /group numbers.

9-5 GUY

The role of 9-5 Guy is a minor character. 30-45. This role includes dialogue and requires singing, including a solo verse, and dancing.

SAUNA SIREN #6

The role of Sauna Siren #6 must play 20-40 male and have good dancing and singing skills.

SAUNA SIREN #4

The role of Sauna Siren #4 must play 20-40 female and have good dancing and singing skills.
