Neighbor Not Happy

Back in Jan of 2020, while having a mid life crisis.  I responded to a casting call for a play called “An evening at Dave's Sauna”  When asked what part I was auditioning for and I said any place you think I’ll fit.  I’m not sure if it was because they had five parts to fill and only 3 of us at the audition, or because I promised the director I’d do anything, and I mean anything to be in the show.  But after cleaning the bathroom, I got a part in the show.

Little did they know I lived at Dave's sauna in 1983, and I was just checking to see if they really knew what was really going on.   Well cocaine is a wonderful drug, and there is beer behind the counter,  and well, let me just say everyone really along   Covid hit and the party was just beginning.  We settled in for the next five years,  the weekly rewrites, the mask and covid rules, rehearsals forever,  theater bookings, covid cancellations, secret undercover shows, a few summers at dear trees in Harrison, A Christmas show just for fun.

Well that brings us to today, a bigger city, a bigger theater, a bigger show, and little old me.  You’ll see me playing the neighbor not happy, or maybe cleaning the bathroom between shows.  But hey,  you gotta do what you got to do to get the part.  See you at the show.
